Shield Networks was a small technology company that designed and
implemented computer networks for businesses. Upon completion of
work with Embark, Shield received an offer from Quorum Information
Systems to buy the company. Some of the work completed by Embark
Resources includes:
- Strategic plan developed to enable a revamping of current product
service delivery and pricing, enabling revenues to double and
profitability to increase 50% of current customer base
- Consulting to Shield during the buy-out of the company by Quorum
Information Systems
NET3F Inc.
NET3F
was a ten-year old company providing management software packages
to garages in the automotive industry. As a result of the repositioning,
financing and business work, the company today is one of the largest
B2B e-commerce solutions in the automotive aftermarket parts industry.
Some of the work completed by Embark Resources includes:
- Wrote original business expansion plan that detailed the transformation
of the company from a software company to a B2B company
- Signed strategic partnerships for the usage of an electronic
parts catalogue for NET3F's electronic POS / estimating system
which opened the $2B+ annual Canadian aftermarket mechanical parts
market
- Negotiated deals for the development of interfaces with the
two leading management software providers for jobbers and distributors
which provided direct access to the $1B market of users of that
software
- Won contract with the largest aftermarket crash parts distributor
in Canada ($20M annual parts sales volume)
- Won contracts with several other smaller players
- Worked on opening three marketplaces with ground level
work including: the $2B annual Ontario market; the $1B annual
Western Canadian market; and key regions in the $240B+ US market
including NY, OH, MI and PA
- Sourced and secured first round of private venture capital
financing, assisted in a second round of financing via selling
part of the company to Mediagrif Technologies and Royal Bank of
Canada.
FPS Inc.
FPS is the first royalty free stock footage company. Its founder
Oktay Kesebi was the original stock footage library developer for
Adobe and Digital Vision. As a result of the business plan and financiers
brought to the table this company now has two Academy Award winning
visual effects directors active in the company as well as other
key Hollywood players. Some of the work completed by Embark Resources
includes:
- Developed strategic Business plan for full roll out across
North American and international markets
- Sourced financing for first round of private venture capital
financing through Iyouwe Inc.
